Driving Licence Tips: Master Traffic & Gain Confidence
Before meeting Rodolphe, technically I was able to drive (e.g. move around with a car), but I was not able to easily participate in the road traffic. I was paralyzed by minor inconveniences, I didn't trust my own judgment, I couldn't see well around me and I wasn't confident enough to even use my priority when I was on the right. So when I moved from Flanders to Brussels, I realized that I cannot drive there. Brussels traffic seemed to be a warzone, where you just need to survive. I needed to practice to take my practical exam in January and my provisional driving license was expiring at the end of December. I figured that I urgently need some professional help. That's how I found "Go for safe driving".
One of the fundamental principles of coaching is to have a clear understanding of where the coachee wants to get to, to set a clear goal. We agreed with Rodolphe that I need to prepare and pass my practical exam in Brussels before my provisional license expires, so within a month.
During coaching, I learned not only to look around me but also to quickly analyze and process the information and to act according to the current situation. The coaching in fact is not only about driving technique, there is a big psychological aspect to it. Rodolphe gives you a great basis to build your knowledge and confidence, on which you can safely and surely rely when on the road.
To my surprise, while the practical exam in Brussels was not easy, it felt like a walk in the park compared to the learning process. I passed it with excellence.
In my opinion, you shouldn't be driving until you are really enjoying the process and having fun. If your body is tense and you have brain fog from panic, stress and fear – stay home or take a tram. Or better book a few coaching sessions with Rodolphe. It is worth every minute and penny invested.
Merci Maestro!
